The original Abyssinian Cat Club of Great Britain
The Club was founded in 1929 primarily to promote the pure breeding of the Abyssinian Cat. It was also one of the first members of the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF) and therefore has a right in perpetuity to two delegates to represent the Club's interests at Council meetings.
Dr Margaret Frayne has written an interesting essay on the history of the Club. Click here to read it.

AGM 2026
This was held on Sunday 19th April at 2.30pm at the Oliver Bird Hall, Solihull. Papers were emailed to paid up members for whom we have an email address.
The meeting was not quite as well attended as in the past, possibly due to the Supreme Cat Show being held the following weekend. It was a very informative meeting with only a few queries and everyone had already enjoyed the lunch provided by the Committee.
If you are a member, haven't supplied an email address and would like to be informed of upcoming events please contact mail@abyssiniancatclub.com
